First off, really loving the new version of KB Piano (just updated a couple weeks ago). However I am running into a bit of a problem. After I\'ve been composing the music for a few minutes, when I hit record to continue composing, I get the error message \"Error Setting Clock\". And I think I am noticing that the time position/length indicator seems to be going just a little bit faster than the moving bar in the Midi Events Editor windows when I hit \"Play\". So I\'m not sure if these to problems are related or not.

I can continue composing by using the mouse to right click and \"Add note\", etc., and I can play it back fine, but I can\'t actually record and use the keyboard to play without getting the error message.

So, thoughts?

As always, thanks so much for this superb program!

Hi Joe,

That\'s a really strange problem, I though I fixed it, but it turns out I didn\'t Sad

You can switch back to the old engine, using the Options->Output device setup. This will allow you to keep recording.

If you get the error with a particular project, please send it to me to help me track the source.

Sorry to hear it\'s stubborn problem Sad

Now, here\'s something else I\'ve been running into ever since I got the program (over a year ago) but I kept forgetting to ask about. How many channels does KB Piano 2 allow for? Because I thought I remembered seeing something about 100 channels.

However, I cannot add more than 30 channels. As soon as I add a 31st channel, it shows up as an exact clone of Channel 1. And if I create a 32nd channel, it\'s also an exact clone of Channel 1, and so on and so on. Now if I uncheck \"Clone events\" in Channel 1, it works in that it does not clone the NOTES into the 31st channel. But everything else is the same (the sound patch, the channel effects), and I can\'t change any of it without it affecting Channel 1. I\'ve tried using different channel templates, too, but to no avail.

If this is too confusing I can make a quick video of it for visual aid if you want.

So, is there indeed a 30 channel limit, or am I doing something wrong, or is it a bug with the program.

Thanks again for your help, Gabriel. As always, I can work around the bugs, it\'s just if you happened to know of a way to fix some of them...

Hi Joe,
Are you still getting the \"error setting clock\" problem ?

Well, the thing is that KB Piano can create up to 99 channels, but they map to 32 Midi channels, that\'s why they share the same patch with an existing channel. When I designed the software I thought 32 channels were more than enough (limited by processor speed). I can now increase that value, maybe in the next version Wink
